Kingston-Ontario

Recommended by Vera Marinkovic, May 2008

Kingston-City Hall

Team Marinkovic spent very active weekend in Eastern Ontario where Darko was able to fulfil his adrenaline rush by racing at the Shannonville racing track and where Vera was able to fulfil her cultural rush by visiting historic town of Kingston.

Shannonville, the home of motorcycle racing in Ontario is located about 180km east of Toronto while Kingston is located in the beautiful 1000-Islands area about 70km further east at the shores of Lake Ontario.

No visit to Kingston would be complete without a cruise of The Thousand Islands. A highlight of your cruise will certainly be the beautiful Boldt Castle. Thousand Islands have over 1800 smaller, bigger and artificial islands, actually 1850 to be exact. I counted all of them. Just kidding…..

Also, no visit to Shannonville would be complete without watching a motorcycle race or for some to participate in one. Be careful not to end up in ER with broken bones, but do not worry because it is well known that motorcycle riders are repeated ER customers and they get treated well.

Photos will be posted soon........

Happy Travelling!
